IV International Forum “Falcon Day”: Joining Efforts to Conserve Rare Birds of Prey
On September 1, 2026, the opening day of the XI Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), the IV International Forum “Falcon Day” will be held on Russky Island in Vladivostok. This traditional event, held since 2023, has established itself as a key expert platform for dialogue on the conservation of rare raptor species.
This year, the forum will bring together participants from eight countries, underscoring its high international status. Representatives of relevant agencies, scientific and environmental organizations from Russia and abroad are expected to participate. A delegation from Qatar has already confirmed its participation.
The central event of the business program will be the plenary session, whose theme this year is "Living Symbols: Falcon Conservation – From Traditions to Modern Programs." Participants will discuss accumulated experience in the conservation and restoration of raptor populations, international cooperation, modern research and rehabilitation technologies, and environmental education.
The forum is traditionally organized by the Roscongress Foundation. The event is being held at the request of the President of Russia as part of a larger effort to create centers for the conservation and reproduction of rare bird species.
The forum will also open a themed space, "House of the Falcon," at the "Far East Street" exhibition. A detailed program and registration are available on the forum's official website, falconday.ru.
